Find & Enrich (People): "Roles to exclude" is not being applied, and enrichment leaves Location empty

Sharing this in case others are building prospect lists with Find & Enrich. Two live runs today on a Tier 3 account, People search. One thing works really well, one thing does not. WHAT DOES NOT WORK: "Roles to exclude" I searched military officer titles (Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Sergeant Major), location United States, and added nine terms to Roles to exclude: Real Estate Agent, Realtor, Real Estate Broker, Real Estate Investor, Mortgage Broker, Loan Officer, Financial Advisor, Property Manager, Recruiter. Of the 9 records returned, 6 were real estate professionals. Several matched an excluded string word for word: - "Real Estate Agent at Long and Foster" - FIT 100 - "Real Estate Broker at Baird & Warner" - FIT 100 - "Real Estate Private Equity" - FIT 100 - "CCIM, Multifamily Property Investment" - FIT 100 - "Colorado Realtor" - FIT 50 The field accepts the chips and counts them in the "Search - free (N filters)" total, so the UI implies they are being applied. Related clue: putting the same exclusions in the natural-language box returns "Not filterable in People yet: income, Exclude professions." So the limitation looks known, but the structured field still accepts the same criteria without saying it will ignore them. Also worth knowing: the FIT score does not reflect the filters. A Real Estate Agent scoring 100 against a query that excludes Real Estate Agents means you cannot trust "take the top N by fit." WHAT WORKS WELL: affirmative searches Second search - program managers, systems engineers and directors of operations in Defense and Aerospace, United States. 21 results, all genuinely on target, zero off topic. Precision was excellent. So the practical workaround until exclusions land: do not try to exclude the segment you do not want. Search only for the segment you do want, and filter the rest out afterwards. That flipped my results from 6-of-9 wrong to 21-of-21 right. ENRICHMENT COVERAGE I imported those 21 records for 210 credits and got: - LinkedIn URL - 21 of 21 - Title - 21 of 21 - Company - 5 of 21, and some of those were industry labels ("Aerospace & Defense") rather than company names - Location - 0 of 21 - Seniority - 0 of 21 - Industry - 0 of 21 - Skills - 0 of 21 Location being empty is the one that hurts. I filtered on United States to run the search, so the system clearly used location, but it is not written back to the row. I can only work with people in the Americas, so a blank location column means checking every profile by hand. Several names also came back partial - "Jeremy F.", "Kent H.", "William D T." - which makes them hard to use for outreach. FOUR ASKS 1. Make exclusions actually filter, or disable the field until they do. 2. Write the search's own filter values back into the row. If I searched United States, Location should not be blank. 3. Show which columns will be populated before credits are spent. 4. Let FIT reflect the full filter set so top-N selection is trustworthy. Happy to share the exact searches if anyone wants to reproduce it. Has anyone else gotten exclusions to work, or found a better workaround?
